"He who has a Why to live can bear with almost any How."
Nietzsche
Many people find therapy to be a tremendous asset in managing personal growth, interpersonal relationships, family conflicts, and the hassles of daily life. These challenges may include relationship problems, break ups, anxiety, excessive fear or constant worry, lack of motivation, conflicts at work, identity crisis, mood instability, poor self-image, lack of self- confidence, feelings of helplessness, grief and loss, difficulty making decisions, and general dissatisfaction with life.
In the process of therapy, you will acquire a more efficient set of coping skills to manage your anger, depression, and other emotional turmoil you might be experiencing. Improving your communication skills will help you to effectively negotiate the conflicts that you are encountering in your interpersonal relationships and advance the quality of your relationships in general. Therapy can also help you to gain insight about your psychology, your decision making process, as well as the way you relate to others. This insight will eventually “unstuck” you from repeating unhealthy patterns by breaking old behaviors and developing new ones. This personal investment will surely increase your self confidence and help you move on with your life feeling more confident, powerful, and independent.
Clinical Orientation
The study of human development, the mind, and human interactions is my foremost passion in life. I continue to be fascinated by individual’s psyche, capabilities, desires, and potentials, and am very compassionate with their emotional pain, disappointments, hurdles, and concerns. I am well versed in a variety of treatment approaches and have a diverse clinical background. My theoretical frame of reference is psychodynamic; however I employ a variety of other treatment approaches including Cognitive-Behavior Therapy (CBT), family system theory, and humanistic approaches in order to meet the specific needs of my clients. I believe that people are unique and complex and often times unaware of the many forces that drive or limit them. My work goes beyond the targeting of certain symptoms. Instead, I aim to help people find meaning and purpose in their lives, unlock creative potentials, and strengthen their relationships with themselves and with other people.
